There’s just something Oscar-worthy about all of Tom Hanks‘ performances! The 59-year-old actor joined Jimmy Fallon for a rehearsal-free rendition of Kid Theater on The Tonight Show on Thursday, Oct. 15 — and the results were really good!
Despite the fact that all the scenes were written by elementary school kids, given only the title of Hanks’ new movie, Bridge of Spies, to create their written masterpieces, Hanks was able to pull off some convincing performances (mainly he was a spy, standing on a bridge — but it was convincing all the same!).
Wearing a black beret, the Forrest Gump star read out his lines (including the awesome suggestion that the bridge in question was actually made out of spies, since they’d run out of wood).
Never once breaking character, Hanks resisted the urge to crack up despite the highly amusing words. Fallon, on the other hand, didn’t quite manage to keep a straight face!
