Tom Segura’s ex Christina Pazsitzky is opening up about their decision to divorce.
“I just want to formally address it to the audience. Yes, Tom and I are divorcing. It is extremely sad,” Pazsitzky, 50, said on the Wednesday, August 5, episode of the “Your Mom’s House” podcast, while becoming emotional. “It is very sad. That being said, we have tried to work it out for several years for the sake of our children and our family and we gave it all we could. But we just couldn’t work things out.”
She continued, “We are no longer a couple but we make the children a priority. Look, we had 20 amazing years together and that’s a really good run, I think, in a marriage. 20 years together and we had a very successful marriage. We created this, we have comedy careers. Most importantly, [we] created a family.”
Pazsitzky shared that she “wanted to address the audience specifically because we’ve been through a lot together,” noting that they have discussed topics including marriage, births, deaths, tragic accidents and cancer.
“I want you to know that I’m still your mom. I’m still here. We will survive. We will get through this bulls**t like we have gotten through everything else in life. This is just an unfortunate thing. But we are going to be OK. Tom and I are — just so everybody knows, we are amicable. This is not an ugly divorce,” she said. “We’re cool, dude. It’s been 20 f**ing years. We met in our 20s. We met as kids. So you know, people [change], it’s just one of those things.”
Pazsitzky went on to ask fans not to take sides in their split, explaining that there is a “Team Christina” and “Team Tom.”
“Please don’t do that. There’s no need to do it, number one, because Tom and I do not hate each other. We have a family and you don’t need to take teams,” she said. He’s going to host this show when he can, because he’s filming a lot of films and television right now, and I’m going to host the show. We’re still going to have a good f**ing time. Because we ain’t dead yet.”
She continued, “And you know some cancer couldn’t kill me, you think a dude is going to f**ing take me out? … There you go. It’s out. It’s out and I feel free because it’s been some time coming and I hate not being transparent.”
Segura, 47, and Pazsitzky tied the knot in 2008 and went on to welcome sons Ellis and Julian in 2016 and 2018, respectively. News broke in July that the pair had called it quits a few months prior. (TMZ was the first to report the news at the time.)
“Thank you for all the kind messages. This is a really difficult time for our family,” Pazsitzky wrote via her Instagram Story in July, addressing listeners of their podcast. “Episodes of YMH are pre-recorded in advance — hence no mention of recent events. Just know your Mommy loves you and will see you very soon.”
