Tracy Morgan is suing Walmart over the New Jersey Turnpike car crash that left him hospitalized last month, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

"Walmart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries," the complaint, filed in New Jersey on Thursday, reads. "As a direct and proximate result of said collision, Mr. Morgan was caused to sustain severe painful bodily injuries, including but not limited to multiple fractures which required multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment and will require significant physical rehabilitation."

In response, the company said in a statement it was "committed to doing the right thing for all involved."

The 30 Rock alum, 45, was seriously injured on June 7 when a Walmart truck drove into a limousine van that was carrying the comedian in Cranbury, NJ. The six-vehicle accident left Morgan with a broken leg, broken femur, broken nose, and broken ribs, and killed 63-year-old comedy writer James McNair.

Morgan remained in critical condition following the crash and progressed to fair condition 10 days later. On June 20, he was released from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and transferred to a rehab center.
