Pete Davidson reflected on his past drama with Kayne West — and didn’t hold back when taking shots at the rapper.

Davidson, 32, was one of the comedians who took the stage during Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart on Sunday, May 10, to lampoon actor Kevin Hart. West’s name came up while Davidson was joking about fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe.

“Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings,” Davidson said, in part. “I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis. Thank you.”

Davidson’s portion of the roast on Sunday came after Hinchcliffe, 41, took the stage and also brought up West during a rather explicit joke that mentioned Kim Kardashian.

“The closest Pete has come to greatness is when his d*** rubbed up against Kanye’s old c**,” Hinchliffe said as Davidson could be seen nodding his head. West has yet to acknowledge his name being included in Sunday’s roast.

Davidson’s issues with West started amid the Saturday Night Live alum’s nine-month relationship with Kardashian, 45. While Davidson and Kardashian were together — from November 2021 to August 2022 — West often dissed the comedian on social media, famously calling him “Skete.”

Davidson’s reference to West’s strong views came months after the rapper explained his politically laced and antisemitic rants on social media over the past few years.

“One of the difficult aspects of having bipolar type-1 are the disconnected moments — many of which I still cannot recall — that led to poor judgment and reckless behavior that oftentimes feels like an out-of-body-experience,” West wrote in an open letter published in the Wall Street Journal this past January. “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change. It does not excuse what I did though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.”

West claimed at the time that he had experienced a four-month manic episode last year, which included “psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior.” The musician said it “ruined” his life.

“When you go into a manic episode, you are ill at that point,” he added, crediting wife Bianca Censori as the reason he got help. “When you are not in an episode, you are completely ‘normal.’ And that’s when the wreckage from the illness hits the hardest.”

There were also rumors linking West to YouTube star and makeup mogul Jeffree Star in 2021, which Star denied to Us Weekly in June 2021.

“I see why it happened,” Star said at the time, referring to his proximity to West in two states. “Obviously, we live — he’s probably two miles down the road or maybe he’s in Wyoming right now. … I think the rumor definitely was [about] the right time, I think, and the right place.”
