Angelina Jolie Adopts Maddox

"He's just such a pure reminder of everything that really is important in life. . . He's brought out a really—he's made me a woman. And I've become more nurturing," Jolie told CNN's Anderson Cooper after adopting her first son, Maddox, from Cambodia in 2002. Goodbye Dave, Hello Stephen

In April 2014, David Letterman announced that 2015 will be his last year behind The Late Show desk, handing over the reigns to Stephen Colbert. "Simply being a guest on David Letterman's show has been a highlight of my career," Colbert said of his predecessor, who spent 11 years with NBC as host of Late Night and 22 with CBS on The Late Show. Renting out San Francisco's AT&T Park for the occasion, he flew her family in from across the country to celebrate their milestone. Projecting his question on the field's giant screen, West presented the mother of their daughter North with an $8 million Lorraine Schwartz sparkler. They tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in May 2014.

Dunham reached two major milestones in January 2013: She celebrated the second season premiere of her series Girls and adopted a dog! "He's just twelve pounds of bliss," Dunham told Vulture of Lamby, the rescue dog she brought into her family from Brooklyn's BARC animal shelter. "I have a feeling we're going to have a great life together."

Robin Roberts: Healthy and Happy

Joey Mac's Marathon

New Kids on the Block fan favorite Joey McIntyre crossed the 2013 finish line of the prestigious Boston Marathon five minutes before bombs blew up the area, killing three and injuring 260 others.
