‘Stars on Ice’ Returning With Nathan Chen, Mirai Nagasu and More Skating Icons

Time to lace up your skates! Stars on Ice is finally hitting the road again after a two-year break. Following the 2022 Winter Olympics, some of figure skating's biggest stars will take part in the 24-city tour that begins in Fort Myers, Florida, on Thursday, April 14. “I am really excited about the opportunity to perform in front of our fans during the Stars on Ice Tour after a busy season of competitions,” Nathan Chen, who won a gold medal at the 2022 Games, said in a statement. “I miss performing for an audience, and it will be so much fun to skate for them.” The Utah native, 22, is currently the top-ranked male figure skater in the world and is widely considered by many experts to be among the greatest of all time. In addition to winning his first Olympic gold, Nathan also earned a silver medal during the team event alongside Karen Chen, Madison Hubbell, Zachary Donohue, Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Vincent Zhou, Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier.  Knierim, 30, just won gold at the World Figure Skating Championships with partner Frazier, 29, to become the first American Pair team to be World Champions since 1979 and she couldn’t be happier to join the tour. “I especially love performing in the group numbers, which are brand new every year,” she explained in a statement. “The entire cast skates together which is really fun for us. Hopefully, the audience will enjoy them as much as we do!”

The 2022 silver medalists are all set to join Stars on Ice alongside a slew of other talented Team USA athletes, including Mirai Nagasu, Mariah Bell, Alysa Liu and Jason Brown.

Bell, 25, won the 2022 National Championship, becoming the oldest U.S. women's champion since 1927.

The pair are 2022 U.S. champions.

Nagasu won the bronze medal during the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The duo have won three World Silver medals and three National Championships.

Chen is a three-time world champion and a five-time U.S. national champion.

In 2018, Zhou, 21, became the first person to successfully land a quadruple lutz jump during the Olympics.

In 2019, Liu became the youngest woman to win the U.S. National Championship at only 14 years old.

Brown, 26, won a bronze team medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The pair won the silver medal at the 2015 World Championships in Shanghai, China.
