The wedding ring is off!
Kate Beckinsale made a quiet statement on Sunday, Nov. 22, when she walked the red carpet for the first time since she split from husband Len Wiseman, wearing no rings at all.
The 42-year-old actress looked stunning in a floor-length Alberta Ferretti Couture spearmint gown as she walked the red carpet at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards in the British capital, her first appearance since news of the end of her marriage broke.
As Us Weekly reported on Friday, Nov. 20, Beckinsale and her husband, Wiseman, also 42, called it quits on their 11-year-marriage a few months ago.
According to one source, the pair "tried to make it work, but they ended up falling back into old habits and fighting." And Beckinsale, who has been shooting Underworld 5 in Prague, had not officially appeared in public since news their split broke.
But on Sunday night, the English rose braved freezing temperatures in London to stun on the red carpet, and made her relationship status clear with her discreetly minimal jewelry choices.
Wiseman has not been quite so subtle. In recent weeks the director has been spotted looking cozy with model CJ Franco. The pair first stepped out together on Oct. 2 and on Tuesday, Nov. 17, he hit up the West Hollywood hot spot The Nice Guy with the 24-year-old stunner.
“It is very hurtful to her that he is not being discreet,” a source told Us of Wiseman's behavior. “They haven’t even been able to sit down and discuss divorcing yet and she asked him to wait until then.”
