A family in Alabama experienced an unimaginable tragedy when a mother, her pregnant teenage daughter and her 12-year-old son were found killed inside of their home, and police are still looking for suspects.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Lisa Gail Fields and her two children, Keziah Luker and Thomas Cordelle Jr., were found dead in their Wilmer, Alabama, home on Monday, April 20, according to FOX 10 and News 5.
Authorities have not revealed if there are suspects or persons of interest as of Tuesday, April 21. However, officials said that they don’t believe the killings were domestic in nature.
Police have determined that Fields, 46, was stabbed and her throat was cut. Meanwhile, Luker, 17, was fatally shot and Cordelle’s throat was slit and he had been almost decapitated.
All three victims were found with their arms bound behind their backs with zip ties, and they were all in separate rooms.
FOX 11 and AL.com reported that Luker was eight months pregnant at the time of her death.
The bodies were discovered after Luker’s boyfriend noticed that her phone was moving on the Life360 app. After he was unable to reach her while he was at work, he asked his father to check in on her, per News 5. His father then went to the family’s home, where he found the bodies and called 911.
Police said that the residence looked like someone rummaged through it, which has led authorities to believe that the suspects were looking for something. Investigators are considering that multiple suspects may have been involved in the killings, according to News 5 and AL.com.
In addition to the three dead bodies, authorities found Luker’s 18-month-old child who was physically unharmed in the residence, FOX 5 reported.
Following the murders, Fields’ husband, Nathan Fields, took to Facebook to reveal that he is offering $1,000 to anyone who can help identify the suspects.
“Everyone knows we lost three very special people last night. Senseless and uncalled for,” he wrote in a following post on April 21. “We had both finally found each other and it may not have been perfect but she was and she made me better! She encouraged me to do more and all I ever wanted was to make her dreams come true. My soulmate my bff my wife my world the love of my life has been stolen from me and now I am nothing. She was the most beautiful person and so extraordinarily special! A heart of gold and so loving! She was the better part of me and I will never be the same! I love you mama and you will have my heart forever! I don’t wanna do this life without you Lisa!”
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment regarding the case.
