Lindsie Chrisley Arrested for DUI in Georgia: See Her Statement, Everything to Know About the Case
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office

Lindsie Chrisley’s recent arrest is making headlines — and a newly released police report is shedding light on what allegedly went down the night the Chrisley Knows Best alum was pulled over in Georgia.

The reality star was taken into custody on May 23, 2026, and was charged with DUI less safe, attempting to elude police, improper passing, reckless driving and speeding. According to a Cherokee Sheriff’s Office case report obtained by Us Weekly on May 27, 2026, the situation escalated quickly after officers were alerted to a reckless driver speeding through a residential area.

From the high-speed chase to her family connections to a recent protective order against her boyfriend, here’s everything to know about Chrisley’s DUI arrest.

Lindsie Chrisley Was Allegedly Going Nearly 90 MPH Before Her Arrest

According to the police report, the arresting officer was alerted to “a reckless driver in the area of East Cherokee Drive and Ranchwood Trail going northbound.” A “Be on the Look Out” (BOLO) was issued for a black or green Ford Bronco that was allegedly “speeding, tailgating and flashing their high beams.”

Another officer reportedly spotted the Bronco, but the driver allegedly “fled from him at a high rate of speed” once the officer turned on his emergency lights. When the reporting officer eventually caught up and activated his own emergency lights, he claimed the driver “did not immediately yield to the right but continued past multiple suitable stopping locations before coming to a stop” at a gas station.

That’s when the officer made contact with Chrisley behind the wheel. He noted that she had been driving 86 MPH and, according to the report, Chrisley initially admitted to driving nearly 90 MPH before recanting her statement, claiming she “had not driven at that speed.”

Lindsie Chrisley Explained Why She Was in the Neighborhood

When questioned about why she was driving through the residential area, the podcaster told the officer that the mother of her passenger, Travis Evans, lived nearby. Though Chrisley denied actually visiting Evans’ mother, she said she had picked Evans up and brought him to his mom’s house because she was “dying.”

Chrisley also offered an explanation for her speed, telling the officer that a car in front of her had “almost hit a deer” and she had to “swerve around them.”

Lindsie Chrisley Allegedly Refused a Field Sobriety Test

The officer alleged that Chrisley’s breath smelled like alcohol and that she was slurring her words. He asked her to take a field sobriety test, which she allegedly refused. According to the report, Chrisley later offered to participate in the test, but she had already been arrested at that point.

In Georgia, DUI less safe means that a person can face charges of driving under the influence even if their blood alcohol concentration is below 0.08 percent.

Lindsie Chrisley’s Arrest Comes 1 Month After a Protective Order Filing

Chrisley’s arrest comes just one month after she filed a protective order against her boyfriend, David Landsman.

Court documents obtained by Us noted that Chrisley and Landsman were in a relationship for approximately two years until he was arrested in April 2026 for aggravated assault, strangulation and battery.

According to the documents, the pair were allegedly involved in an altercation, with Landsman becoming “verbally aggressive” over a photo he found on Chrisley’s phone. Landsman reportedly “apologized for his behavior” but then “became agitated and aggravated” again.

Landsman allegedly “strangled” Chrisley “multiple times.”

“[Chrisley] punched [Landsman] near his eyebrow to get him to stop strangling her,” the docs noted. “[Landsman] grabbed [Chrisley] by the throat again and opened the door and threw her outside. [Chrisley] hit her head on the concrete. At this point, [Chrisley] was able to leave [Landsman]’s home.”

David Landsman Allegedly Called Authorities First

Landsman called authorities to make a report against Chrisley, according to 911 audio obtained by TMZ. Authorities later met Chrisley at her house and examined “injuries on her neck and her head.”

“Law enforcement noted that [Chrisley] had lacerations on her head from being thrown onto the ground and noted marks on [Chrisley]’s neck from being strangled,” the paperwork read.

Neither Landsman nor Chrisley have publicly addressed the allegations.
