South Carolina boutique owner Pamela “Brooke” Schronce has found herself in trouble with the law once again when she was arrested for the 17th time since the beginning of 2026.
Schronce, 30, was booked into the Pickens County Detention Center on Friday, May 1, according to online records viewed by Fox Carolina. She was charged with obtaining money or property under false tokens or letters, less than $2,000.
She was later granted a bond amount of $1,087.50. It appears that she has been released from custody, as her information is not currently available on Pickens County Detention Center’s inmate search.
The latest arrest comes amid Schronce’s ongoing legal issues after she was accused of scamming dozens of customers throughout the state.
Schronce advertised her business, Thomas & Turner Boutique, as a “boutique for trendy little babies” that offers “custom designed” clothing, according to the business’ Instagram page.
Us Weekly previously reported that one of the two individuals Schronce is accused of scamming told law enforcement that she ordered items from Schronce’s business online seven times between October 2024 and March 2025. The purchases were worth nearly $500 in total.
When she never received the items, the woman emailed Schronce and the business owner allegedly “promised refunds,” according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
“However, no money was refunded, and the citizen never received the items that she ordered,” the sheriff’s office said.
Another woman told an Oconee County fraud investigator on March 16 that she “pre-ordered matching children’s outfits” from Schronce’s boutique in December 2024, though she “never received” the items.
The woman told authorities that she received a partial refund on a gift card, which she didn’t receive until several months later in July 2025. The sheriff’s office added that the refund was for only $73.02.
She used the gift card to buy new items from the boutique, but the items never arrived when they were scheduled to in January.
“The victim never received her order, and the victim cannot use the remaining balance on the gift card due to the fact that the business is now closed,” the sheriff’s office said.
Schronce’s attorney, Joy C. Davis, did not immediately respond to Us’ request for comment regarding her client’s latest arrest.
Prior to the May 1 arrest, Schronce was arrested on April 6 on two counts of breach of trust with fraudulent intent. She was later released from custody after posting bail.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us’ request for comment regarding Schronce’s latest arrest. The investigation into her alleged crimes remains ongoing.
