He married Suzie Skinner in June 2025, according to Netflix’s Tudum.

While he used to preach at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, the building has since been sold. Those interviewed in the documentary said that he has continued to serve as a pastor and preaches to a congregation of about 15 to 20 at gatherings in pop-up locations around Myrtle Beach. The gig is a family affair, as Skinner leads the worship portion of the service.

What Happened to Mica Miller?

Mica was found dead at Lumber River State Park in North Carolina on April 27, 2024. While her death was ruled as a suicide, speculation regarding her cause of death began to emerge when it was revealed that she and John-Paul were in the middle of a nasty separation.

Her death was further investigated due to Mica’s claims that she was being stalked before she died. She had previously gone to police at least four times with the claims, and she even told authorities that she was “afraid for her life” following the discovery of a tracking device on her car one month before she died.

What Was John-Paul Miller Accused Of?

Investigators eventually learned that John-Paul was behind the stalking. A grand jury indicted him of cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators in December 2025.

Beginning in November 2022, John-Paul allegedly sent unwanted and aggressive messages to Mica. The messages continued until her death. He also allegedly surveilled her vehicles with tracking devices, as well as shared a nude photo of her online without her consent.

His indictment alleged that John-Paul also contacted Mica over 50 times in one day in addition to interfering with her finances and her day-to-day activities.

John-Paul has pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a $100,000 bond. His trial has been delayed several times, and it’s now expected to begin in October 2026.
