Watch out, Gary! Now that Amber Portwood is out of jail and enjoying a life of sobriety, the reality star and book author is ready to reclaim custody of her daughter Leah from her ex Gary Shirley.
In this exclusive sneak peek from Teen Mom OG, Amber tells Dr. Drew that she intends to get back custody of Leah since Gary is making it harder and harder for her to see her daughter throughout the week.
“Since she started school, it’s been weird because he’s been weird. He won’t let me have her on weekdays she’s in school,” Amber explains. “Something’s going to happen because I will be getting her.”
“Full custody?” Dr. Drew asks as Amber nods.
“This just started, because I wasn’t going to be doing anything about the custody,” she continues. “I think maybe communication first and then after that we’ll see what happens, and if he doesn’t want to budge, I’ve just got to do what I’ve got to do.”
Gary took care of Leah while Amber served 17 months in jail. Amber and Gary broke up while she was serving time, and he started dating his new girlfriend Kristina, making the situation between the former couple uncomfortable.
