Buying domain names for the right reasons? In a move that would undoubtedly help him rank among the standout Bachelorette villains of all time, JoJo Fletcher‘s season 12 bad boy Chad Johnson appears to have found an innovative way to mess with his rivals, even with the show having finished shooting.
The luxury real estate agent, 28, has apparently purchased the domain names of several of his fellow contestants, including Derek Peth, Robby Hayes, Chase McNary and Alex Woytkiw.
Adding insult to injury, the URLs of all four guys’ full names — derekpeth.com, robbyhayes.com, chasemcnary.com and alexwoytkiw.com — reroute to Johnson’s Instagram page. Yep, just let that truly diabolical move sink in for a moment. Even the show’s most notorious troublemakers would presumably be impressed by the man’s dedication to causing shenanigans. (Reality Steve was first to report the apparent URL purchases.)
It perhaps isn’t too surprising that Johnson singled out the guys he did for the apparent prank. Woytkiw confronted Johnson in the Monday, May 30, episode for standing too close to Fletcher during her one-on-one time with other guys, leading Johnson to heatedly warn the U.S. Marine that he would “lose [his] damn teeth.” Another scene in the episode featured the pot-stirring Johnson mocking Peth — who earned the first one-on-one date rose — as not having a chance with the Bachelorette in the long haul.
Johnson doesn’t appear to have control over every notable season 12 guy’s full-name URL, but that might not be for lack of trying. The domain names for Jordan Rodgers (jordanrodgers.com) and Evan Bass (evanbass.com), who both butt heads at times with the Tulsa, Oklahoma, native this season, are already taken by other men with those same monikers.
A recently released Bachelorette clip shows Johnson earning several guys’ ire by comparing Fletcher to a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Classy stuff.
Tell Us: Did Chad Johnson go too far by taking over the other guys’ domain names?
The Bachelorette airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
