It seems like every week in April has been stacked with new and original streaming shows. And who has time to watch them all?

HBO Max has the big debut of the week with the premiere of Half Man, while Netflix is reentering the world of Stranger Things with a new animated series.

Meanwhile, Apple TV has the returning crime thriller, Criminal Record, which has a more mature and dramatic tone.

All of those series are part of Watch With Us‘ roundup of the best new shows to watch this April 24-26 weekend.

Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd is back with a new series, Half Man, in which he also stars as a gruff man named Ruben who shows up unannounced at the wedding of his estranged brother, Niall (Jamie Bell). Ruben is ten kinds of trouble, and he’s already making Niall’s happy day into something miserable.

That storyline bookends the first episode, which explores the past of young Rubert (Stuart Campbell) and Niall (Mitchell Robertson) by revealing that they aren’t brothers at all in the conventional sense. They grew up together, and they’ve played out-sized roles in each other’s lives. But as the series progresses and Bell and Gadd take over from their younger counterparts, viewers will see just what drove them apart in the first place.

Half Man is streaming on HBO Max.

Did you think Stranger Things was over? Not quite yet. Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is an animated spinoff set between seasons 2 and 3. This is a flashback to when Eleven (Brooklyn Davey Norstedt), Mike Wheeler (Luca Diaz), Dustin Henderson (Braxton Quinney), Lucas Sinclair (Elisha Williams), Max Mayfield (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) and Will Byers (Ben Plessala) were at their happiest.

However, unfamiliar monsters are showing up in Hawkins, and the kids are going to need a hand from the new girl, Nikki Baxter (Odessa A’zion), to save the town from another incursion.

The British crime thriller Criminal Record is back for a second season, with former Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi reprising his role as Detective Daniel Hegarty opposite Cush Jumbo‘s Detective June Lenker. In season 1, June and Daniel didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye, but they’re going to need each other this season.

Following a murder at a political rally that spiraled out of control, Daniel and June are faced with the prospect of more death thanks to an extreme political figure, Cosmo Thompson (Dustin Demri-Burns). This case may be beyond the usual scope of the police, but they’re all that’s standing in the way of even greater violence and mayhem.

Criminal Record season 2 is streaming on Apple TV.

The title of Beef season 2 may be a misnomer, because there are multiple beefs this season, including the one between the primary couple, Josh (Oscar Isaac) and Lindsay (Carey Mulligan). Their marriage is on the rocks despite the unified front they put forward together.

When Ashley (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin (Charles Melton) witness and record an ugly fight between Josh and Lindsay, they blackmail the older couple into giving Ashley a promotion and Austin a leg up at the resort where they work. That leads to a feud between the two couples, and it’s going to be almost as ugly as the one Lindsay has with her husband.

Beef season 2 is streaming on Netflix.

Margo Millet (Elle Fanning) had her whole life in front of her in Margo’s Got Money Troubles, at least until she became pregnant during an affair with her professor. If anyone can relate to Margo’s plight, it’s her mother, Shyanne Millet (Michelle Pfeiffer), and father, Jinx Millet (Nick Offerman). They had Margo long before they were ready to become parents.

To dig herself out of a financial hole and to provide for her child, Margo becomes a rising star on OnlyFans. That’s money that Margo sorely needs, but it may also cost her custody of her child when the baby’s father uses Margo’s online sex work to smear her reputation.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is streaming on Apple TV.
