Let’s see if she can wrangle up a Mirrorball Trophy! Animal activist Bindi Irwin is the first officially announced contestant to join the cast of Season 21 of Dancing With the Stars.
The 17-year-old daughter of the late Steve Irwin made the announcement on Monday, Aug. 24, on Good Morning America.
“And the first celebrity on the new season of @DancingABC… Bindi Irwin! #GMADancing,” the morning show’s official Twitter handle tweeted.
No word on who Irwin will be dancing with yet, but the Season 21 pros have already been announced with fan favorites Derek Hough and Val Chmerkovskiy, who won last year with contestant Rumer Willis, on this season’s lineup.
"This is completely different to anything I've ever done in my life, I'm used to wrangling crocodiles!" an excited Irwin exclaimed on GMA.
Dancing With the Stars premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
