Dancing With the Stars has revealed its first two celebrity contestants heating up the ballroom floor on season 35.
Hulu announced during the Get Real House event on Wednesday, April 22, that Love Island star Maura Higgins, also known for her appearance on The Traitors, and Summer House’s Ciara Miller would be competing on DWTS, while simultaneously confirming the reality competition’s renewal.
A full cast of celebrities and pro dancers will be announced at a later date. The series is set to premiere this fall on ABC and Disney+.
Miller’s casting comes amid an ongoing scandal involving her and Summer House costars ex West Wilson and BFF Amanda Batula, who recently separated from estranged husband Kyle Cooke after four years of marriage. The group is set to address the romance and timeline at the Summer House season 10 reunion.
Last year, rumors circulated on Bravo fan sites including @BravoandCocktails that Miller, 30, could be joining DWTS season 34. While speculation swirled, Miller shared that she wouldn’t be opposed to appearing on the show.
“Yeah, why not? I mean, I grew up dancing,” Miller exclusively told Us Weekly in 2025. “I did ballet for 10 years. Why not?”
“I would totally,” she continued. “I would love that, honestly, but whatever’s right for me at the right time.”
Miller noted that she already had a pro in mind that she wanted to be paired with. “In my head, maybe Val [Chmerkovskiy],” she said. “I want someone who is hard on me. Like, ‘You got to get this down.’ We’d have to work so hard. I don’t want any funny games. We’re in there to work!”
Higgins, meanwhile, rose to fame as a cast member on Love Island before trying her hand at The Traitors season 4, where she ultimately lost to Rob Rausch. As an apology for betraying her on the show (and taking the grand prize from her), Rausch famously gifted Higgins, 35, a Birkin bag.
“He told me he’s going to get me a gift, which is going to be a Birkin handbag. So when he gets that, then he’s fully forgiven,” Higgins exclusively told Us in February. “For me, a girl that has not watched Traitors, not one episode of Traitors, I got to the finale, and yeah, I didn’t win, but I got to wear all my outfits. And if I get that Birkin handbag from Rob, then for me, I have won. That’s all I need.”
Dancing with the Stars will premiere this fall on ABC and Disney+, and will stream the next day on Hulu.
