Courtney Stodden Cries When Her Mom Defends Falling for Doug Hutchison in ‘Mother/Daughter Experiment’ Finale Preview

Mother doesn't always know best? Courtney Stodden breaks down in tears during a heated discussion with mom Krista Keller over Keller's feelings for Doug Hutchison in The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition's Tuesday, July 5, season finale.

Us Weekly's exclusive sneak peek at the Lifetime unscripted series' much-delayed episode shows Stodden, 21, telling therapist Dr. Debbie Magids that it doesn't feel like she and her mom have made a lot of progress.

"I'm just hoping we're not going to be worse off than before we got here," Stodden says of her mom, 56. "But I'm just concerned that I'm never going to be able to feel that complete trust with my mother ever again."

Stodden and Keller have been at odds throughout the season, particularly over Keller's complicated emotions for Lost alum Hutchison, who tied the knot with Stodden in 2011 when she was just 16. Us exclusively revealed in May that Stodden and Hutchison, 56, are expecting their first child together.

Keller laments in the clip that she keeps "getting beat up over and over and over again" by her daughter. Magids then fires back with, "I think you're underestimating the betrayal that she feels. You have to accept that you were a mother who fell in love with her daughter's husband."

When Keller corrects her to say she was just "emotionally attached" to Hutchison, Stodden has had enough.

"OK, I can't — I'm sorry," the Couples Therapy alum says tearfully as she gets up to leave the room. "I'm sorry — you know what? I need a break. I can't sit here with you not listening to me anymore! i just can't do it anymore, Mom!"
