Continuing her story? Emma Roberts joined her Scream Queens costars for the Fox series’ San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday, July 22, where she hinted that she would be returning to American Horror Story for an upcoming season.
Roberts, 25, who plays Chanel Oberlin on Scream Queens, was asked during the event whether there is any chance that she would come back to FX’s American Horror Story, which launches its sixth season on Wednesday, September 14. AHS was created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who are also the brains behind Queens (along with their Glee cohort Ian Brennan).
“I think that there might be — I was going to last season,” she told the crowd about returning. “I would love to go back and do a few episodes.”
Roberts previously played Madison Montgomery in season 3’s American Horror Story: Coven. She returned for season 4 as Maggie Esmerelda in American Story Horror: Freak Show. The series is known for bringing back familiar faces in new roles.
Very little is currently known about the sixth season, despite the fact that the premiere date is fast approaching. Among the cast members known to be returning are Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock and Kathy Bates.
During the Scream Queens panel, Lea Michele was asked how viewers will be reintroduced to her character, Hester, at the start of season 2. Hester was revealed to be season 1’s evil mastermind in last year’s finale.
“When we come back, we don’t know where Hester is — that’s a question mark,” Michele said. She then teased, “My costume is very comfortable, and I have a fun new accessory to play with this season.”
Scream Queens returns to Fox on Tuesday, September 20. American Horror Story season 6 launches on FX Wednesday, September 14, at 10 p.m. ET.
