Horror fans have plenty of spooky shows to sink their teeth into in 2026.
CBS previously found success with their adaptation of Ghosts, which is going into its sixth season at the network. Creators Joe Port and Joe Wiseman expanded the universe with Eternally Yours, which premiered in October, and vampires Charles (Ed Weeks) and Liz (Allegra Edwards), whose marriage of 500 years has become monotonous.
“They live in present-day Seattle among an eccentric coven until their daughter Emma brings home Max, her human boyfriend, whose arrival disrupts the household and forces the couple to reckon with the prospect of an eternity together,” the synopsis teases about the rest of the season.
In addition to Weeks and Edwards, Eternally Yours also stars Helen J. Shen, Jaren Lewison, Parker Young and Rose Abdoo. Luckily for the cast, channeling the undead came easy due to each of them developing their own love for horror off screen.
Edwards exclusively told Us about her favorite horror picks: Paranormal Activity and The Simpsons‘ themed episodes.
“I just saw Paranormal Activity on Broadway and it was a total thrill ride. Fabulous stage magic and a compelling story at the center,” she gushed to Us. “I went in terrified and came out giddy. There’s nothing like shrieking and giggling with a live audience in unison.”
Weeks, meanwhile, recommended Don’t Look Now.
“A slow-burn tale of a bereaved couple in Venice,” she added.”When the ending hits, it is truly devastating. There is something in the graininess of the film stock, the over-saturated reds, that adds to the unsettling dreaminess.”
Shen mentioned The Haunting of Bly Manor catching her eye due to it being “sexy, suspenseful and a little sapphic.” She also suggested Shutter Island — which requires at least two watches — and Coraline. Her onscreen love interest, Lewison, gushed over The Shining, Obsession and The Evil Dead as his favorite horror movies.
On a more light-hearted note, Lewison also threw out La La Land, joking, “The scariest of them all? Right person wrong time? No thanks!”
Tristan Michael Brown, who plays Mort, reflected on how his horror interests changed over the years.
“When I was younger I really liked Scooby-Doo, Mystery Incorporated and Monster House. I liked how silly they were but also how cool all the monsters looked,” he shared. “Not to mention the great stories in both. Now, I really like the Scream franchise and The Walking Dead. I like how the Scream films are almost comedy in my opinion and it makes fun of classic slasher films. I love all of the great character moments in The Walking Dead.”
Brown’s onscreen brother, Shylo Molina, shared his love for Lee Cronin‘s The Mummy, which he appeared in. He also suggested Hereditary, joking, “I called my mom immediately after to ask if there were any family secrets I should be worried about. She said no — a little too quickly.”
Molina’s list also includes Scream, The Exorcist and Evil Dead Rise. “After working with Lee Cronin, I’ve learned that if he ever invites you to a family gathering, you should probably go ahead and decline,” he quipped.

Mike Flanagan took a swing at adapting Stephen King‘s iconic novel in a miniseries for Prime Video. Fun fact, Weeks told Us he saw the 1976 version “way too young,” adding, “Illicitly, by myself, on my grandma’s fancy satellite TV. The mixture of adolescent sadness, religion and body horror haunts me still. I yelped at the end, waking a disapproving household.” (out now, Prime Video)
‘American Horror Story’

Ryan Murphy pulled off the impossible by reuniting Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Frances Conroy, Jessica Lange and more in the show’s 13th season. (airing on FX)

Another recommendation from Weeks — and Us! — is CBS’ Ghosts. The perfect companion to Eternally Yours, Ghosts is airing two holiday episodes this year before returning for a full season in 2027. (October 29, CBS)
