Winter is coming — and apparently, the dead are, too? Game of Thrones’ latest season 6 trailer reveals new reactions to Jon Snow’s death, along with teasing numerous grisly fates to come.
The latest promo for the Emmy-winning drama’s season 6 premiere on April 24 shows the corpse of Snow (Kit Harington), with Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) saying, “I thought he was the man to lead us through the long night, and I was wrong.” Snow was killed in a season 5 episode following an attack by his brothers of the Night’s Watch.
Another scene shows Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) warning, “The real war is between the living and the dead, and make no mistake, the dead are coming.”
Fans eagerly await the return of the popular series, based on the books by author George R.R. Martin. Mystery continues to surround Snow’s future, as HBO has confirmed that he is dead, although the character appears to still be a presence in season 6.
Watch the video above to see the vicious battles, along with a hilarious quip at the end from Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).
Game of Thrones returns to HBO Sunday, April 24, at 9 p.m. ET.
