The rest is still unwritten! Lauren Conrad took to Instagram to tease what might be a new project with MTV on Wednesday, May 25.
The Hills alum, 30, shared a pic of herself being filmed by a camera as she adjusts a bridesmaid’s dress at a wedding. Conrad captioned the mysterious snap, “Never thought I’d see the day…..” She also tagged MTV, which produced The Hills and Laguna Beach, along with her two fashion lines, Paper Crown and LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s.
A new fashion-focused project would be surprising because Conrad previously filmed a pilot for MTV in 2011 that documented her career, but the show got dumped by the channel before it ever aired. At the time, the reality star slammed MTV in a statement to Us Weekly. “MTV felt the subject matter was too highbrow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships.”
According to MTV.com, the network isn’t commenting on the possible new show, but Conrad will be making a major announcement on her Twitter on Tuesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. ET, which happens to be exactly 10 years after the first episode of The Hills aired!
In Us Weekly’s May 30 issue, Conrad and all her Hills costars opened up about the behind-the-scenes drama for the 10th anniversary. The fashion designer, who is now married to husband William Tell, dished on her past relationship with Brody Jenner, how she really met Audrina Patridge, the time producers locked her in a basement and more!
