When neither mom backs down one bit! Jenelle Evans engages in an explosive verbal showdown with her mother, Barbara, over custody of her son Jace, 6, in a preview for the Monday, June 6, finale of Teen Mom 2.
As Us Weekly previously reported, the 16 & Pregnant alum signed over custody of Jace to Barbara in 2010. In recent years, Jenelle, who is also mom to 23-month-old son Kaiser (who she shares with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith), has made a concerted effort to regain custody of her eldest son, as documented on MTV.
“Give him back to me, because it’s been six years! I want to know why am I not allowed to have my son back?” Jenelle questions her mom in the clip above. “Why can I not have custody? Please tell me. I want to know a reason right now.”
Barbara then tells Jenelle that she will not consider handing back parental rights of Jace so long as the TV personality is dating her boyfriend, David Eason, who the 63-year-old believes is a bad influence.
“I’ll tell you one reason right now, this guy [is] controlling you, and he thinks he’s gonna take control of Jace. Uh-uh, this is between me and you and Jace, not between David,” Barbara tells Jenelle before calling her beau of nearly a year “crazy.”
