Jenna Dewan-Tatum Shows Off Post-Baby Body in Witches of East End Clip

Four months after welcoming daughter Everly with husband Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum is back to work sizzling up the small screen! The Step Up alum, 32, began filming Lifetime’s Witches of East End just six weeks after Everly’s May 31 birth, and only Us Weekly has your first look at the new mom as she appears as wild immortal witch Freya in the supernatural drama, premiering Sunday, Oct. 6.

In the preview video above, Dewan-Tatum’s Freya rocks a slinky red dress and matching lipstick at a cocktail party the day after her engagement bash, where she secretly smooched Killian (Daniel DiTomasso), the brother of her fiance, Dash (Eric Winter). Since then, Freya just can’t get Killian out of her mind, and thinks every attractive guy she sees resembles her kissing partner, something Freya’s sister Ingrid brushes off as a sheer coincidence.

Appearing opposite Rachel Boston (Ingrid) and Julia Ormond (Joanna Beauchamp, the matriarch of the Beauchamp family who just so happens to dabble in witchcraft), Dewan-Tatum says her new role leaves her feeling empowered. “I read the script and thought the role couldn’t be more fun,” the actress has said. “Freya’s fearless, free-spirited, sexy and acts on her emotions — whatever they may be. I wanted to explore that part of my personality more and [playing] that every day has been so fun!”

Dewan-Tatum credits her Witches gig with helping her feel “normal” after Everly’s all-consuming birth. “When I was at that point where I was in sweatpants 24 hours a day, if I got a shower every two days I was lucky, and I was just . . . doing nothing but thinking about this little baby, and I’m still doing that, but now I get to go and be creative,” she told Us. “It’s about switching the brain like, ‘Okay, now I’m mom, now I’m the actress’ and then jumping into character and then coming back and breast feeding. I’m finding I’m getting more in the flow of things now.”
