Moving back to Wisteria Lane? Jesse Metcalf would join a Desperate Housewives revival in a heartbeat.
The 40-year-old actor exclusively told Us Weekly at the Hallmark Television Critics Association party on Saturday, February 9, that he would “100 percent” sign on to bring back the show. Metcalf, who portrayed hunky gardener John Rowland, has high hopes that his character has moved on from his day job.
“I would probably leave that up to whoever decides to write this reboot or film. If it’s [creator] Marc [Cherry], I’m sure he has better ideas than me,” the John Tucker Must Die star explained. “But I would hope to come back with a little money in my pocket.”
Metcalf added that he still keeps in touch with his on-again, off-again love interest, Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis), “from time to time” and occasionally runs into Teri Hatcher, who starred as Susan Mayer.

But Metcalf isn’t the only star of the hit ABC series who wants to see it return. In December 2017, Longoria, 43, told New Beauty that she would love to reprise her role on the Emmy-winning comedy-drama, which ran from 2004 to 2012.
“I wish! I love that show. I miss it every single day,” she told the magazine at the time. “I miss being Gaby. I miss being on that set. I miss everything about it.”
However, the Overboard actress noted that Cherry “has said many times he wouldn’t bring it back.” One reason why? “We’re all so busy,” Longoria said of her former costars, including Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo) and Marcia Cross (Bree Van de Kamp). “I’m busy with projects. I don’t know if it will ever happen, but I’m all for the idea!”
The Young and the Restless alum also told Us in September 2017 that her beloved character would be “ruling the world” today and “starting a fashion empire.”
