Unlike his peers, Justin Bieber isn't planning to celebrate his birthday with a blowout bash.
"I'm probably just going to chill for my birthday," the 17-year-old singer said during a Monday radio interview on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. "No party or anything. I just want to relax. I have four days off; I want to chill."
(The pop phenom was born March 1, 1994.)
The "Never Say Never" singer — who hasn't asked for any presents — added that his mom, Pattie Mallette, won't be serving up any special home-cooked meals either.
"My mom doesn't cook. She's awful at cooking," he laughed. "But my Grandma cooks. Hopefully she makes me cheesecake for my birthday."
Bieber added that as he grows older, he's become more sure of himself as a performer.
"I don't think I want to emulate anyone's career, but just take different bits and pieces from different people," he explained. "Definitely Michael Jackson, and lately I've been really studying Fred Astaire."
