One step closer to taking your order? Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson are mulling over a possibility of a Good Burger sequel. Mitchell discussed the idea during the Brown and Scoop podcast on Wednesday, February 24.
“Everybody is talking about a Good Burger 2, us doing a Bad Boys type of film,” Mitchell, 37, told cohosts Jake Brown and Brandon Robinson. “Me and Kenan have definitely been talking about it. You might definitely see something coming up with me and him soon. We have definitely been talking about doing something big for the fans, because everybody has been looking for it,” he added. “They want us back together.”
Mitchell and Thompson, 37 — who also starred together in the Nickelodeon series All That from 1994 to 2005 — first brought Good Burger to the big screen in 1997. They reprised their roles in a Tonight Show sketch in September 2015.

“I remember seeing the Good Burger wig and the hair and makeup on the mannequin,” Mitchell exclusively told Us Weekly in October of revisiting the character Ed. “I put it on and it was like I had never left. It was just awesome. Kenan and I both were just cracking up in the hallway.”
He also teased a possible sequel. “It’s just a thought, just a thought,” he told Us at the time. “But there’s definitely a possibility of something.”
Mitchell and the Saturday Night Live star have remained cordial over the years. (Mitchell once auditioned for the NBC variety series, but didn’t make the cut.) “Our conversations are a little bit different now since we have kids,” he said on Wednesday. “We definitely stay in touch. There’s no Kenan and Kel beef . . . Everything is good.”
