Lisa Vanderpump Says Her New Reality Show Won’t Have the ‘Nasty’ Drama of ‘RHOBH’ (Exclusive)

Take note, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans — Lisa Vanderpump’s new reality show is leaving the “nasty” drama behind.

“It’s not a reality show like that,” the business mogul, 66, exclusively told Us on Friday, October 9, while discussing her new Bravo limited series, Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas. “It’s got the feel-good factor. It’s got the ambition, it’s got the humor, but it hasn’t got that [notorious RHOBH] nasty. I don’t do well with that. I didn’t do well with it on Housewives.”

The three-episode production, which premieres on Tuesday, October 20, follows Lisa flexing her all-new hotelier side as she expanded her Las Vegas-based venue portfolio with the new Vanderpump Hotel, which officially opened its doors in June.

The British-born personality rose to fame as an original star of Bravo’s RHOBH, appearing across nine seasons from 2010 to 2019 before leaving the show and launching the 2013 debut season of Vanderpump Rules.

During her tenure as a Housewives cast member, Lisa often clashed with her fellow castmates. Her at-times problematic dry sense of humor, however, is one piece of the reality star’s personality that she believes has ensured a long-lasting marriage to her husband, fellow restaurateur Ken Todd, who appears in the upcoming show.

“Whether we take the piss out of each other, or take the Mickey [how] we say it in England … that playfulness, the sense of humor has seen us through,” she explained to Us, adding that their 44-year marriage is very different to the relationships viewers have grown to know through RHOBH.

“I think you see these marriages, especially on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and it’s all, ‘Oh my cutie pie, my king, my love being, my whatever,” Lisa said. “And then suddenly people are falling apart and getting divorced. Ken and I have always been, like, ‘This isn’t easy.’ He drives me crazy. I want to put the pillow over his face every night when he’s snoring his head off, it’s really annoying.”

She added that despite their differences, Todd, who is 16 years her senior, has long met Lisa’s expectations when it comes to harmonious partnership.

“I don’t think you can put two imperfect people together and expect a perfect relationship,” she explained to Us. “We only knew each other for three months when we got married. I was a child, literally. So who knew? He is just very supportive.”

Vanderpump also shared insight with Us into who she shows support to when it comes to her OG Vanderpump Rules castmates, revealing who she’s going to welcome into Vanderpump Hotel — and who she won’t.

According to the reality queen, Stassi Schroeder Clark “deserves a penthouse suite” in Vegas.

“I mean, she’s being great on Vanderpump Villa, and she’s kind of risen above a little bit,” Lisa said, adding that she’d give Jax Taylor a “standard room” amid recent hard times. (Jax, 47, has publicly revealed that he’s been in rehab multiple times over the years, amid his ongoing divorce from fellow Vanderpump Rules costar Brittany Cartwright.)

As for Kristen Doute and Scheana Shay? “Pass” and “Turned away,” responded Lisa, respectively.

Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz would, however, make the cut — but they’d be sharing a room.

“They wouldn’t get their own room … and I would give them one of the suites because they bring the life and joy to the party. They really do,” the matriarch said. “They always make me laugh. Business-wise, that was a struggle, but they bring the light.”

Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Las Vegas premieres on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
