Michaella Giorgio can sympathize with her Love Is Blind fiancé Rob Feeley’s mom having doubts about the experiment.
“I can understand her perspective. This is a huge deal,” Michaella, 35, exclusively told Us about her future mother-in-law’s feelings about the Netflix show. “Marriage is a really big choice.”
She continued, “We both hold our family in such high regards to introduce them to someone after meeting them so quickly and say, ‘Hey, we’re actually gonna get married.’ That is a huge load to dump on a parent, so it’s totally OK.”
Michaella and Rob, 40, connected — and got engaged — sight unseen on Love Is Blind season 11, which was filmed in 2025 and began airing on Netflix one year later. After the fashion executive and Rob met in person, they were immediately smitten. His mother, Mary, however was unconvinced if their romance is built to last.
“[The show’s concept is] bewildering, but it’s also enticing,” Mary told Michaella upon their first meeting. “Because of you and you, my son and his chosen one, this is no longer a TV show to me. To me, this is reality. You have my blessings and more, but — tears will come to my eyes when I say this — I somewhat believe in Love Is Blind. I’m not totally convinced.”

She continued, “I feel from the moment you both met until the moment we’re meeting now, you’ve lived in a bubble. It’s not to say that I don’t think you have met your match either one of you, but I think for me as your mom … I wanna feel that real moment that can embrace you and say to [Rob], ‘Thank you for bringing you into my life.’”
Both Rob and Michaella tried to ease his mom’s concerns, noting that they plan to get married at the end of the reality TV experiment.
“That’s where we’re going [and] right now everything’s great,” Rob gushed. “We get along, so there’s no pressure. For you, there’s no pressure. Michaella’s not pressuring me, like, we’re gonna do what we feel is right for one another. So, that’s it.”

As for whether the pair made it to the altar or the reality TV bride officially secured Mary’s endorsement, Michaella coyly teased to Us, “You’ll just have to wait and see where we stand now.”
Love Is Blind season 11 is now streaming on Netflix. New episodes drop Wednesdays.
