Most kids are creeped out when their parents get too touchy-feely in front of them, but not Jessa Duggar. The 19 Kids and Counting star, 22, sought out marriage advice from her parents Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar on the Tuesday, March 17 episode of the family’s hit TLC reality series.
The clip, which was filmed before Jessa and Ben Seewald’s November nuptials, featured the elder couple talking about how they communicate in their 30-year marriage.
“Both of you’ll like the physical relationship, but [for] the guy [it] will be kind of like the main focus,” patriarch Jim Bob told the couple. “But for a woman, communicating is the most important thing, and so taking time each day to communicate, that will mean the world to her.”
Jessa and Ben went on to explain how they express their feelings to one another, highlighting their strengths and shortcomings.
“I think we communicate pretty well, what do you think?” Jessa asked her fiancé.
“Yeah, we like to talk, but it’s more than just talking. You can be talking, but you’ve also got to communicate,” Ben added.
Jim Bob then grabbed his wife Michelle to display how to properly kiss, including the necessary head tilts.
“Y’all are so cute!” Jessa — who did not kiss her now-husband until their wedding day — exclaimed.
