When Miley Cyrus returns to her favorite spot in Nashville, Tennessee, she is forced to confront an unlikely rival. “I love the roller-skating rink there,” she says in a Voice digital clip, as seen exclusively in Us Weekly’s video above. “There’s one dad who always tries to up me, and it’s kind of rude.”
While the NBC show’s season 11 coach, 23, gets frustrated with the competitive older man, who has “30 years of roller-skating experience” over her, Cyrus does appreciate his style and skill set. “He kind of dresses like Snoop Dogg, which I really like,” she says. “And he’s really good at doing backward roller-blading. He’s got a lot of tricks.”
After working up a sweat at the roller-skating rink, the “We Can’t Stop” singer goes for a classic Southern meal — with a slight twist. “I am obsessed with chicken and dumplings — without the chicken, since I’m a vegan,” she says. “That would be my dying meal. If I had 30 seconds to live, I would eat as many dumplings as possible.”
Although the former child star has a special appreciation for Nashville, located about 21 miles from her hometown of Franklin, Tennessee, she is keeping busy in Los Angeles working tirelessly for her team on The Voice. “She’s the show’s most devoted coach ever,” a source told Us last month. “She has a hand in choosing the hair, makeup and wardrobe for her team, and she goes to all the dress rehearsals when she’s not even paid to be there. Nobody else does that!”
Watch Miley describe her favorite things about Nashville in the clip above.
The Voice airs on NBC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
