The controversial pop star, 23, was noticeably absent from the Linda Perry Freeheld event — where she was scheduled to sing the film’s theme song, “Hands of Love” — in L.A. at the No Name Club on Tuesday evening, attended by A-listers such as Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Sharon Osbourne, Tobey Maguire and Jodie Foster.

With news of Cyrus and the Hunger Games hunk, 25, spending New Year’s together Down Under, it seems like the pair are once again going strong.

On Monday, January, 4, the “Wrecking Ball” singer was photographed with Elsa Pataky — the wife of Hemsworth’s older brother Chris Hemsworth. Pataky and Chris married in 2010 and share kids India Rose, 3, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, 20 months.

Pataky and Cyrus were also spotted hanging outside the Spell and the Gypsy Collective, a store in Byron Bay, Australia. A few days prior, the Last Song costars were seen together at the Falls Music & Arts Festival in Byron Bay.

The former Disney Channel star and Hemsworth got engaged in June 2012 after three years of dating. They ended their engagement in September 2013, around the same time that Cyrus made headlines for her 2013 VMA performance with Robin Thicke, completely reinventing her image.
