In something out of a ’90s fangirl’s dream, Nick Carter and Jordan Knight have teamed up to form a new duo called Nick & Knight.
The Backstreet Boys singer, 34, and the New Kids on the Block crooner, 44, released their first single as Nick & Knight this week, introducing listeners to “One More Time.” The catchy track has the duo belting about lost love on a grooving beat.
“Don’t you remember / Just how I made you feel / the night you came home crying cause you crashed your car / again / Now you’re talking about just friends / but you’d be lying to yourself / if you thought someone else can take my place,” the boy band hotties sing in “One More Time.”
Carter and Knight, who previously collaborated on the NKOTBSB tour from May 2011 through June 2012, have big plans for their partnership. Led by “One More Time,” they are releasing a studio album called Nick & Knight on September 2.
The duo will also hit the road on September 15 for the Nick & Knight Tour, stopping in major cities in the U.S. and Canada including Chicago, Toronto, Boston, and Las Vegas.
Carter said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that his and Knight’s new single gives fans a taste of what they can expect from the fall concerts. “You can really hear the chemistry and you can almost visualize us onstage performing,” he said. “I think it will do well for fans’ imaginations and what they’re going to look forward to when they come on our tour.”
