Orlando Bloom Breaks Silence on Miranda Kerr Split: “Life Sometimes Doesn’t Work Out” the Way We Hope

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr may have closed the book on their marriage, but their story is far from over. Speaking about their split for the first time while filming an episode of Katie Couric‘s self-titled talk show airing Friday, Nov. 1, the Romeo and Juliet star said he and his estranged wife would be linked together forever, not as husband and wife but as mom and dad to their 2-year-old son, Flynn.

“We love each other,” Bloom, 36, told Couric of the former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 30. “We’re a family. We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives. There’s no question that, you know, for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”
