You can run, but you can’t hide, Charles — at least not forever!
Tuesday, July 28’s Pretty Little Liars episode, “FrAmed,” turned the tables on the eldest DiLaurentis sibling in a new and interesting way. But while Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) decision to release Charles’ identity to the police may have forced him to go into hiding, the Liars should know by now that you can’t keep A in a corner for long — which led to some less-than-picture-perfect moments at an art gallery; a new potential Charles suspect; and a Red Coat sighting. Let’s dig in!

Show Me The Money
Determined to trace the mysterious college money back to its roots, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) paid a visit to The Carissimi Group in the hopes that returning the money would lead them back to Charles. Enter Rhys Matthews, who is not only just as shady as he is handsome, but also bares a striking resemblance to both Alison and Jason (Drew Van Acker). Charles, is that you? (Or is it Freddy or Red Coat or all of the above?) Right now, the options are unlimited.
Rhys informed the girls that his boss was the one who makes the ultimate decision when it comes to selecting scholarship winners, but refused to give out even so much as his email address. So is this mystery guy just extremely private or does he have something to hide?
Even though Tanner agreed to put extra security on the Liars during Aria’s (Lucy Hale) photography display, that didn’t stop Charles from crashing the evening in the creepiest way possible. That is, unless you don’t consider swapping out Aria’s photos with images of the four Liars lying on a slab looking all sorts of dead. (Remember how they woke up like that in the dollhouse a few weeks back?) It looks like Charles had a purpose for doing that after all. Guess this means no fellowship or internship for poor Aria?

Boy Trouble Times Two
Though Aria and Ezra (Ian Harding) were staying strictly in the friend zone, she couldn’t hide her disappointment when her former beau showed up to her gallery display with another girl — Emily’s (Shay Mitchell) Habitat for Humanity friend, Nicole. Ezra assured Aria that his guest was just a friend. In fact, he mentioned potentially joining HFH in the near future. However, that didn’t stop him from side-stepping Aria’s request to go to prom together. Sorry, Ezria fans, but at least it wasn’t an outright no, right?
But Aria has bigger problems on her plate these days. Like the fact that her new friend, Clark (Titus Makin Jr.), was spotted leaving the gallery to meet up with Rhys Matthews at the abandoned doll factory. (Hear that? That’s the sound of all the warning bells that should be going off in your head.)
But Charles wasn’t the only DiLaurentis family member being sneaky this evening. After learning that her dad was cooperating with the police, Ali stole Lorenzo’s (Travis Winfrey) police ID card to investigate what the police have learned. Of course, Tanner caught her almost immediately and warned her to not feel too much sympathy for her elder brother. They may be related, but Charles has put a big target on her back.

Speaking of being caught red-handed, Red Coat made a long overdue appearance, helping A spy on the Liars (you know, usual friend-type stuff) as well as nab them a couple of prom tickets. It’s almost time to bust out those corsages, folks!
