Those are fightin’ words!
LuAnn de Lesseps accused Ramona Singer of blackmailing her and spreading vicious lies about her so-called neglectful parenting, and on Monday’s episode of Real Housewives of New York City, Singer has a chance to bite back.
Having unsuccessfully tried to confront Singer, 55, over her digs about her parenting at a party hosted by Sonja Morgan, de Lesseps, 47, tries again to make peace, but Singer isn’t willing to meet her halfway.
“I get emotional — I can’t help it. I grew up in a place where no one talked — they yelled and screamed,” Singer tells de Lesseps in this sneak peek from Monday’s episode. “From the moment we met, you’ve always made condescending, snide remarks. You don’t realize it, but it puts me on the defensive.”
Singer really goes on the defensive when de Lesseps lays into her for allegedly threatening and trying to blackmail her family. “You called the house — the children overheard the conversation — and said ‘I will tell everyone about your son’s party,'” de Lesseps recounts. (Her son Noel’s recent bash ended with a young girl passing out on the family’s lawn.) “You threatened me. You blackmailed me,” de Lesseps says of the embarrassing Hamptons incident.
Taken aback, Singer vehemently denied blackmailing her costar, and argued that de Lesseps’ actions were public record. “Everyone knows who you are. You’re never home with your children, you’re out…you fall off tables — everyone knows,” she seethes. “It’s out there already. There’s nothing to threaten. Are you crazy?”
