No going back! Return to Amish‘s Kate Stoltz admits in the season 3 premiere on Sunday, July 10, that she doesn’t regret leaving her old friends behind, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The TLC unscripted series’ preview clip shows Stoltz telling the camera that she parted ways with her Amish upbringing four years ago by leaving Pennsylvania to move to New York City and start taking classes toward a career in fashion.
“I mean, the fact that I’m in college at all right now is incredible,” the model admits. “When I was in ninth grade, I was taken out of school because the Amish don’t go to school past ninth grade. It’s always been my dream to come back to college and get an official education.”
Stoltz’s current goal is to land a job with NYC-based fashion designer Cynthia Rowley.
“It’s so important for me to build a strong career because I’m not going back to Pennsylvania, ever,” the reality TV star continues. “I think the best thing I ever did was completely cut ties with all of my friends and everything back home, not because they weren’t good for me, but because if I would have stayed in touch with them, I would still be hanging onto that life that I had, and it would keep me from pursuing what I want to do up here.”
Watch her reveal whether she has a boyfriend in the video above.
Return to Amish airs on TLC Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
