Slayer and Watcher, together again! Sarah Michelle Gellar made fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer squeal on Tuesday, July 22, when she posted an adorable selfie with her former costar Anthony Stewart Head on Twitter. The grinning duo held up their matching wristbands for the camera.
“@AnthonySHead Best surprise visit ever!1 It’s #CoolToBeKind Thanks for the bracelets,” Gellar, 37, captioned the adorable image.
Cool to be Kind is an organization created by Head and Sarah Fisher that promotes kindness to animals.
The animal activist, 60, played Buffy’s faithful Watcher Rupert Giles on the cult-classic Joss Whedon show. He appeared in all seven seasons alongside Gellar and the rest of the Scooby Gang, serving as a father figure for Buffy.
This isn’t Gellar’s first reunion with her beloved costars since the show ended in 2003. In February she posted a picture with Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Buffy’s younger sister Dawn, and Seth Green, who played the werewolf Oz, on the set of her now-cancelled sitcom The Crazy Ones. Later that month she shared a picture with David Boreanaz, who played her vampire love interest Angel.
For the next reunion, might we suggest Spike?
