Sweet revenge! Sarah Palin played Tina Fey in a 30 Rock spoof titled 31 Rock on Monday, December 21, just days after the comedian reprised her memorable impression of the former vice presidential candidate on Saturday Night Live.
In the 31 Rock trailer, produced by the Independent Journal Review, Palin portrays Lynn Melon — a not-so-subtle nod to Fey’s 30 Rock character Liz Lemon — as “a TV writer who left a small town for the big city.”
“No snowflakes? Ahh!” the former governor of Alaska, 51, muses as she holds a red holiday Starbucks cup. In another scene, her character yells, “Where’s my Big Gulp?” to a table of writers, running around frantically.
The clip also stars former presidential candidate Lindsey Graham, Palin’s former running mate, John McCain, and 30 Rock’s Kevin Brown, who makes mention of Palin’s new book.
“We reviewed Sarah Palin’s new book, Sweet Freedom: A Devotional, which, politics aside, is a great reminder of the pressures of PC culture,” Brown says to Palin’s Melon.
“The only PC I need is right here,” she quips back, pointing to her computer.
Toward the end of the clip, Palin even takes a jab at the recent success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
“Star Wars didn’t change cinema!” she yells, as her writers look at her, stunned.
The spoof marks the first time that Bristol Palin’s mom has portrayed the SNL alum, who revived her spot-on impression of Palin this past weekend while hosting the show on Saturday, December 19, alongside Amy Poehler.
