Seth Rogen, James Franco to Live-Tweet The Interview After Impressive Limited Release

James Franco and Seth Rogen are live tweeting about The Interview on Dec. 28.

Hackers are no match for Seth Rogen and James Franco! Though the wide release of their comedy The Interview was delayed due to terrorist threats from the group behind the massive Sony hack, the costars and pals are moving forward with the film's limited release.

Now the stars and director Evan Goldberg are doing a live-tweet to promote the controversial movie. 

"Tomorrow @JamesFrancoTV, @evandgoldberg and myself will be LIVE TWEETING #TheInterview at 2pm PST! Join us! It'll be like Pop-UP Video!" Rogen tweeted on Dec. 27.

A handful of independent theaters ran The Interview on Christmas Day, and it brought in an impressive $1 million.

"The audience reaction was fantastic—the limited release, in under 10 percent of the amount of theaters originally planned, featured numerous sellouts and a first-day gross over $1 million,” Sony Pictures worldwide distribution president Rory Bruer said in a statement to CNN.

The comedy features a talk show host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen) tasked with killing North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. After North Korean officials publicly condemned the film, the country has been linked to the hack despite denying ties. 

The live-tweet with James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg will take place Sunday, Dec. 28 at 5 p.m. ET.
