The first look at Southern Charm’s newest season will have fans clutching their pearls and asking themselves, “What is happening?!”
“There’s an elephant in the room that needs to be addressed,” Whitney-Sudler Smith shares in the season 12 trailer released by Bravo on Monday, October 5. “The assumption is that one of you has a love child.”
Before the guys can say anything, Madison LeCroy quickly asks an important question: “Is there a picture or not?”
Newcomer Allie Newman — who is a friend of Venita Aspen’s and a former flame of Austen Kroll’s — replies, “I’ll show the baby.”
While fans will have to watch the cast trip in Maui, Hawaii, to find out what’s really going on, there are plenty of twists and turns closer to home in Charleston, South Carolina, that will have viewers engaged.
After it’s revealed that Austen, 39, and Molly O’Connell are hanging out, Salley Carson quickly loses her cool.
“The fact that you went home with Austen is f***ing crazy,” Salley, 31 tells Molly, 38, who quickly reminds her that they’re both single.
Austen also appears to stand up for Molly when he tells Salley, “It’s not your business. You and I? Cut the f*** off.”
Whitner Slagsvol seems to be another heartthrob of the season as he spends time with both Allie and Venita, 32. According to Bravo, however, shifting feelings and growing rumors soon complicate his position.
Another plot twist comes when Shep Rose gets a text from his ex and former Southern Charm star Taylor Ann Green. After the pair reunite over drinks, Craig Conover can’t help but question what his longtime friend is doing.
“This is delusional,” he says. “You just told me you might marry Taylor, but you said you want to f*** every girl. I think he’s a lost f***ing soul.”
Rodrigo Reyes is also expected to join Patricia Altschul and Charley Manley — who is dating Southern Hospitality’s Justin Assad — for a jam-packed season.
“After a reunion where the status of friendships and situationships remained ambiguous, the Charmers are determined to define their relationships and mend wounds,” Bravo says in a press release. “However, when true feelings bubble up and juicy rumors catch fire, the group seeks to unveil the truth — even if it costs them more than just friendships.”
Southern Charm season 12 premieres on Bravo Thursday, November 12, at 9 p.m. ET. Stream new episodes the next day on Peacock.
