Summer House earned its very first Emmy Awards nomination on the heels of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s season 10 dating scandal.
The Bravo hit is recognized for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program when the 2026 Emmy nominations were announced on Wednesday, July 8. The category is rounded out by America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Love on the Spectrum, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked and Welcome to Wrexham.
Summer House recently wrapped its 10th season, which ended with the surprising reveal that Amanda, 34, and West, 31, had started dating amid her separation from husband Kyle Cooke.
“While this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” Amanda and West wrote in a joint statement shared in March, two months after the In the City costars announced their breakup. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
Amanda and West continued at the time, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
The romance revelation stunned and divided the cast, including Kyle, 43, and Ciara Miller, the latter previously dated West and was close friends with Amanda.
“It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” Ciara, 30, told Glamour in an April profile. “To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season, it’s a major mindf***.”
She added, “Just know when something’s weird in your gut, there’s a reason. What’s done in the dark always comes to light. And sometimes you really don’t even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all.”
According to Ciara, she felt more hurt by Amanda than West.
“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she stated to the outlet. “Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”
Amanda and West attempted to come clean about their relationship, denying any overlap, during the three-part reunion that aired in May and June. The duo are not expected to return for season 11.
