First days and finding out! The Monday, March 30 episode of Teen Mom OG was filled with new beginnings and recurring issues as Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout prepared to take their kids for their first days of school, while pregnant Catelynn Lowell found out the gender of her baby.
Farrah Abraham still hasn’t appeared on the latest installment of the MTV reality series, but it’s doubtful she’ll be able to keep her cutout ensembles and erotic novels off the screen for long.
But in this week’s wildings, the three girls were all about their kiddos.
Fresh out of jail and ready to jump back into her daughter Leah‘s life, Amber went school supply shopping with her ex Gary Shirley and their little girl. There were tickle fights and giggles, and for a second, it felt like old times. The only problem: Gary’s girlfriend Kristina, who is still very much a part of his life. And though the professional condom maker himself thinks it’s fine to give his ex a little tickle, his friend offered up some sage advice.
“Whatever you’re doing, if you wouldn’t do it to a random old man in a parking lot, you shouldn’t be doing it to Amber,” he says. Not sure what Gary’s doing to old men in parking lots, but the advice still seems pretty sound.
So Amber rolls up to the first day of school, but refuses to leave the car when she spots Kristina, and pushes the cameras away in a huff when she gets home. Something tells us Kristina had better watch her back!
It’s time to find out if second time mom-to-be Catelynn and her fiance Tyler Baltierra are going to have a little princess or a little Batman (the way Tyler’s always dreamed). They have their first ultrasound as Tyler prays to the god of snapback hats for a baby boy. We didn’t need the piñata filled with pink confetti to tell us that Tyler’s in for a major disappointment. He takes it like a champ though, exclaiming, “Of course it’s a girl!”
Though there’s a new beginning on the horizon with Bentley‘s first day of kindergarten, his dad Ryan Edwards is up to his same old tricks. Not only is Ryan missing his son’s first day of school, but he seems completely uninterested in even spending time with his little boy. After a tearful drop-off at the school, Maci heads to therapy to talk about her frustrations over her ex, who doesn’t seem to care about being in their son’s life. Thank goodness she has that facial hair pro Taylor McKinney to keep her company!
