The Voice’s Top Four Revealed — and Miley Cyrus Appears to Drop the F-Bomb

Leave it to Miley Cyrus to steal the Voice spotlight on the Tuesday, December 6, results show! The episode saw a series of tearjerking eliminations that sent home half of the show’s remaining eight competitors, paving the way for the season finale next week.

Although Cyrus’ voice was dropped out, she appeared to say “f–k” on camera after Team Miley’s Ali Caldwell made it through to the three-way Instant Save performance, avoiding elimination.

Caldwell competed with Christian Cuevas and Josh Gallagher in the semifinals’ Instant Save showdown — which Gallagher eventually won, sending Cuevas and Caldwell home.

And with that, the last of Team Miley’s members was eliminated. Cyrus’ apparent expletive was not mentioned later in the show by Miley, her fellow judges Adam LevineAlicia Keys and Blake Shelton or host Carson Daly.

That leaves the Voice final four as Billy Gilman, We McDonald, Sundance Head and Gallagher. Going home Tuesday besides Caldwell and Cuevas were Aaron Gibson and Brendan Fletcher.

Fletcher’s elimination before making the Instant Save three-way competition was a bit of a surprise, considering his performance of “Angel” from the Monday, December 5, episode was No. 11 on the iTunes top 200.

Helpful in the five-minute Instant Save period was a convincing argument from coach Levine as to why Team Adam’s Gallagher deserved to advance — and he did.

“There is something really special about your character,” Levine said to Gallagher. “And also your ability to sing a song in a way that everybody understands.”

“There are no bells and whistles,” Levine continued. “There are no frills. I believe there needs to be spot in the finale that is representative of that.”
