In what was widely regarded as the best awards show of the 2013 season, the Golden Globes brought in 20 million viewers last January, thanks in large part to hilarious co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
The dynamic duo killed it on stage (and a few times in the seats, too) with plenty of tasteful jokes after Ricky Gervais's crass reign of terror on previous year's shows. Now the Hollywood Foreign Press has officially announced via their verified Twitter account that the comedic team and longtime besties will return for both 2014 and 2015's Golden Globes.
"Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to return as hosts of the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards, and the 72nd in 2015. #Television #actors," the handle tweeted on Oct. 15.
The two-year commitment comes as a surprise to fans who thought Fey and Poehler's hosting gigs were a one time only deal.
Poehler is currently filming Season 6 of her NBC smash comedy Parks and Recreation, and Fey just wrapped up her hit NBC series 30 Rock. In late September 2013, the Mean Girls writer hosted Saturday Night Live — where both she and Poehler first began.
