Tom Cruise's bald, paunchy, potty-mouthed alter ego Les Grossman is ready for his ******* closeup!
On Wednesday, Paramount and MTV films confirmed that they've greenlit a spinoff film around on Les Grossman, the R-rated, middle-aged Hollywood producer Cruise played in 2008's Tropic Thunder — and reprised at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards in Hollywood.
Tropic Thunder's director and co-star Ben Stiller will co-write the screenplay.
"Les Grossman's life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds," Stiller wrote in a tongue-in-cheek statement. "He has assured me he plans to quote, 'F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.' I am honored to be working with him."
The statement jokes that Grossman "recently mentored talents such as Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner."
As Grossman, Cruise, 47, wowed the crowd at MTV's awards fest on Sunday; performing in a dance duet with Jennifer Lopez, he grabbed his crotch — and attempted to smack Lopez's famous backside.
