‘Jagged Little Pill’ Leads the Tony Awards 2020 Nominations: See the Full List

Jagged Little Pill Tony Awards 2020

Not letting COVID-19 stop them! Although Broadway is still closed due to the pandemic, the Tony Awards still revealed their nominees for the 2020 ceremony on Thursday, October 15.

James Monroe Iglehart — best known for his roles in Aladdin and Hamilton — shared the nominations on Thursday via YouTube. Jagged Little Pill led the pack with 15 nominations, with Moulin Rouge! The Musical earning 14, and Slave Play and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical tying with 12.

The 74th annual ceremony was originally scheduled to take place on June 7 live from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. However, it was delayed due to the coronavirus crisis and a new date has yet to be announced.
