It’s happening! On Wednesday, February 3, Vin Diesel announced the next three premiere dates for the new Fast and Furious trilogy. Prior to releasing the dates, Diesel, 48, teased the news on Instagram in a photo with his daughter Hania, 7.
“Happy Toretto Tuesday,” he wrote on Tuesday, referencing his Fast and Furious character Dominic Toretto. “P.s. The studio has asked me to release some very big Fast news… Give me a minute though, for I am still in that Xander state of Mind.”
Diesel is currently filming xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, which will hit theaters in 2017. But Wednesday morning’s news was all about the car-racing franchise.
The captionless poster reads “2 Decades 10 Films 1 Saga.” Beneath the words were the dates April 14, 2017, for the eighth film; April 19, 2019, for the ninth; and April 2, 2021, for the 10th.
This past April, Diesel told the audience at CinemaCon of the eighth film, “We’re gonna make the best movie you’ve ever seen.”

The Fast and Furious cast was rocked by tragedy in November 2013 when star Paul Walker was killed in a car accident. They’ve since paid tribute to their fallen costar numerous times at awards shows and premieres.
