So funny, she cried! Cate Blanchett became the latest celebrity to trade lips with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Nov. 16 — and the results were awesome!
The Australian actress played along with Fallon’s now-famous introduction to the Lip Flip show segment, saying she was keen to interview herself, if there was any way he could make that happen.
Sure enough, Fallon had a little trick up his sleeve, and suddenly his lips had morphed onto the 46-year-old actress’ face (the results were a little creepy, too)!
After talking much nonsense courtesy of Fallon, Blanchett got a turn to make her show host crack up, making him perform an Elvis impression in a number of different voice registers.
Fallon then made Blanchett reveal her “real” voice (a gruff, male version of how she usually sounds), before the Elizabeth actress made the audience shriek with laughter as she performed her own West Coast surfer impression, complete with a hearty burp!
But it was the pair’s tuneful duet of the Peaches & Herb song “Reunited” that really got the laughter flowing — and Blanchett was giggling so much she started weeping with laughter (and smudging her mascara at the same time)!
