Katie Holmes sure knows how to get into the Halloween spirit!
On Monday's episode of CBS' How I Met Your Mother, Tom Cruise's wife suits up in her most festive holiday attire — as a "Slutty Pumpkin" — to woo Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor).
As this sneak preview clip shows, Holmes' character reunites with Ted after losing touch after a prior Halloween party. (He was dressed as "hanging chad" in a reference to the contested 2000 Presidential election.)
Shortly after Ted introduces her to Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) and Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Holmes' character Naomi announces: "I'm gonna go make some Tootsie Rolls. It's a drink I invented. There's a song and dance that goes along with it, but I have to drink three of them before I can do it."
HIMYM co-creator Craig Thomas said the casting process for the role won by Holmes, 32, was "literally six seasons in the making," and he's thrilled with her work. "Katie is a lovely and talented actress," he says of the star. "Which is why we've saved for her perhaps the most classily named character in our show's history."
Watch more from her appearance above and catch the full episode of How I Met Your Mother Monday at 8 p.m. (EST) on CBS.
