Zendaya rocked the red carpet in a stunning ensemble at the 2026 Emmy Awards while celebrating her nomination for Euphoria.
Zendaya, 30, posed in a silver gown with jewel embellishments ahead of the Monday, September 14, awards ceremony held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The actress, who is also presenting at Sunday’s event, has been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Rue on Euphoria. Zendaya has portrayed Rue since the show’s 2019 premiere, going on to win an Emmy for the first two seasons.
Euphoria returned for its third and final season in April. The HBO series received backlash after its May finale killed off Rue in an accidental overdose.
“The honest ending is that people like Rue don’t make it,” creator Sam Levinson said in a post-finale segment. “People relapse and they f*** up. They’re not ready to get clean. And they weren’t dying like they are now with the influx of fentanyl into this country.”
Levinson, 41, recalled his own struggles with addiction.
“I could say with absolute certainty that if I was going through what I went through when I was younger now then I wouldn’t be here either,” he added before referencing Cloud’s death from an accidental overdose. “There’s no reason to sugarcoat it. I wanted to tell the story for Angus and for people who weren’t granted a second chance.”
Levinson called the finale “an honest ending.”
Zendaya, for her part, has stayed largely silent on how Euphoria wrapped up. In the same segment played after the finale, Zendaya was seen delivering a speech to the cast and crew on her last day on set, saying, “I want to say thank you. I’m really grateful for every single one of you.”
Zendaya got emotional after wrapping up Rue’s story.
“Many of you have been here from the beginning and have watched me grow up,” she continued. “It’s been such a pleasure and an honor. Thank you so much.”
Euphoria is currently streaming on HBO Max.
